Brought a K0 home today, another project!
« on: March 19, 2007, 08:13:11 PM »
Well, most of one anyway. A Dec, 1969 build. Plus a '71 motor all torn down and misc. other goodies.
This one and a FrankenHonda CB750 on the go should keep me busy for years.
Cliff.

I'd like to get back to "factory fresh" to sit beside my '71. The FrankenHonda is another story since it's being assembled from bits and pieces I find, a '71 frame and front end, a '70 motor, '69 instruments -  it's wide open for this one.  Maybe a Gold one. The K0 had been sitting for years and the motor is not frozen, my lucky day. The other '70 motor was frozen and is now all over my workbench. I think I can use parts that came along with the K0 to do the other motor. Plus I'll need to keep printing $100's.
Cheers,
Cliff.

That's the cover of the bike behind it you see through the carbs. I do have the airbox but it needs a major repair.

I'm trying to decide what direction to take on the FrankenHonda I'm in the middle of. The frame and wiring are done, new stearing head bearings, parts laid out on the shelving system waiting to go on, the motor's next. The K0 came with 99.9% of a K3 engine, in a 1000 pieces, I was going to post a thread about using used parts or just go all new like you've been doing. I've gone the penny pinching route before it's ended up being more frustrating and time consuming. However, what to do with the boxes of parts I have and several motors in various states sitting here? I feel like a heretic thinking about chucking them.
