Fuel Tank Stripes
« on: October 10, 2024, 11:53:54 AM »
1976 CB750K. Can anyone give me the measurement from the bottom of the fuel tank to the bottom of the first stripe? My painter did great on the paint, but got the stripes on crooked. I should have taken measurements myself before taking it in.

Lots of people looked but I didn't get any replies. Maybe pictures will help. I need a measurement from the bottom of the tank to the bottom of the first stripe (black) please.

Bottom stripe is parallel with the tank bottom.

The badge sit in the center, but holes for it not.
A detail that can trick you if letting the holes be in center height wise.

Thank you Pewe! Were you able to get a measurement for me to see if it matches up what Johnie got? I had originally thought about painting the stripes like his, but the guy I had in mind is MIA.

I have seen measurements years ago where they sold tank stickers.

100% original UK model K6 bike and tank.Don't forget these were all applied by hand by different people, not machine, so there will be some variations.
