While watching this year I was thinking why bid so much for an unseen bike over the internet 😳. No telling the corners people cut to make a turd shine, no reasonable recoup if you get that turd that grenades when you start it..... People with too much money burning a hole in their pockets. I'm an in-person face to face buyer.
Most serious buyers attend and look at the bikes they may bid on.
When I was there a reporter came to me and was asking questions, I know quite a bit about old bikes, as the reporter asked questions people started to gather around us, it was an interesting experience.
And then you have to deal with listening to the babbling auctioneers that think their babbling is cool. So much is lost in language skills so people can understand what you say. How many times did they have to reverse the prices because of their mumbling......
