Hello from Minneapolis!
« on: March 24, 2007, 06:25:06 AM »
Hello all!

I've been lurking on your forums for a while now, but I figured it was time to say hello. I hail from MPLS, MN- where we are finally coming out of our yearly tundra. I have found some really valuable info on this site and I wanted to say thanks! This is a truly valuable forum and I only look forward to being stumped myself (again) and finding yet another answer via the search function:)

Here is a pic of my 1978 CB750F

and my 1982 v4

Welcome.
I know about the cold--lived just off Hennepin Ave at 24th for a couple years in the early 90's.
Spent a lot of time at Bob's Java Hut on Lyndale.--That place still going?

I'm right on hennepin next to 26th, so I'm really close to where you were. Bob's is definitely still there... Even dated a girl who worked there for a few years. Great place- terrible coffee!

Did you escape the tundra all together?

Yes, I'm gone, but what an interesting area--I'm still in contact with the people who I rented from, though--I could go back.
I had the 3rd floor of the house that is pictured. 24th I think--2 blocks in from Hennepin.
In front is my 3-wheeler which would cause quite a stir at Bob's when I pulled up.
Yes, that is bad coffee !

Ahhh yes, I'm sure that fella caused a stir over on lyndale. I'd say, however, that if you made it out of here to a warmer climate it's not worth coming back! MPLS/STP are great, but the winters here are brutal. I've lived in other winter climates and I would trade more snow and less cold any day.

Well, it's time for me to get back to figuring out the barn-yard rigged wiring on the CB. I've missed two good riding days because i'm sans front signals. They will blink. Oh yes, they will.

cheers!
