White SOHC4's?
« on: March 26, 2007, 10:58:57 AM »
I think it's repaint time. The sapphire blue I have is nice but has taken some heavy abuse and a repaint of the tank, side panels, forks, and headlight cup (maybe the spokes/rims as well) would make it look 1000% better.

I've been thinking about either white with Red Accents (a red star on each side cover) or Red with white accents.

The thing is I'm leaning towards white as I've never seen a white Honda4 and I rather like white. The thing is I'm not sure how it would look. Does anyone have any pictures of a good looking white CB? Thoughts on White w/ Red vs. Red w/ White are also appreciated.

Personally I think red with white accents would look the best.  However, it's your bike, so  you should paint it what you like.  If you like white with red accents then white with red accents it is!  Painting color decisions are the hardest.  Just as soon as you think you have the right color combination, something else comes along and you start second guessing yourself.....well, at least I do.

I had a GT750 that i painted white a few years back  (std white w/ some light pearl ghost flames that would only show up when the sun hit them)......  white looks really good next to chrome.  If your chrome is in good shape it will look nice - really gave it a clean look....   I'll try to dig up some pics and post them.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

Or you could go for the CB-750-P look (yes, I said "P").  Guess what that was used for?

What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

My bike is white with "speed" stripes. I think it's faster than most SOHC4s because of this. :P I just bought white header wrap and a tracy seat and drag bars with CBR600 controls so hopefully it will come together nice.

That would be right, the speedo on the left (I think it's the left one) is able to be "locked" at the speed the "offender" was clocked at... oh, and the pics I posted are of a 550 (not a 750, which was the norm I believe), which was advertised for sale on the local TradeMe site and the seller reckons it is a 1979 model... reserve was $700 and it finally fetched $1651.00... !!  :o :o

Here's another - a CB650 this time...

Cheers, Phil

Kghost, your right. The 350f was silver metallic. I always thought it looked white.
