XS650 right handlebar switch control for CB750?
« on: April 09, 2007, 06:13:49 PM »
Will this work?  Dude I hate beating a dead horse but I can't stand paying $120 for an OEM kill switch.
I've asked if various non OEM works and the answer was I can get anything to work but this one looks similar to the CB750K4 I've got.

The problem with other switches was that it has to  cover the throttle cable (acts as a housing) so I need something similar.

Also I'm about to buy something from http://www.bikeboneyard.com/.  An old 1974 kill switch, which others have said to not buy because it'll have old wires,  but Mike said it was $25.  Anyone every buy from this place?

looks ok to me, only problem might be wiring coloration, but that's easy enough to get around by looking at the xs650 diagram as well as the CB.  I just got a new throttle tube for my 750K6 form my local Yamaha shop, it's a factory throttle tube for a YZ125 :o  Seems like it should work okay, may have to file it a bit to get past the tight, grumpy throttle action.
