A-10 Warthog
« on: April 14, 2007, 04:08:43 PM »
In another thread, someone posted a British Spitfire scaring the pants off of old Alan DeCadnet.  Here's a similar type movie with an A-10.  It's not as low and you can see this one coming, but still pretty good!

The sphincters close, then release afterwards.  I used to think the 'filling the briefs' thing was just a figure of speech.  The my dad told me how a torpedo was shot at the troopship he was on, on the way to Europe.  After it missed, a porthole opens below him, and he sees a hand reach out and discard a pair of undershorts!  :P

Man, cool.  They do make a weird scream.  Back during the run up to the Gulf War, A-10's used our tiny college in Vermont for practice runs.  They are something to behold when they make their runs.  You hear their engines and then they appear out of nowhere.  Compared to other aircraft, they seem to be flying in slow motion, and then after making a run, sometimes they roll into a quick 90 degree banking turn.  Then engines whine, and they are moving so closely above the trees (maybe 40 feet) that you can clearly see the pilot and the cockpit.  My sweetie at the time would flip them off as they screamed over her garden.  They flew so slow and low that I'd guess that more than one pilot saw her salute.
