Hello,
I've got a '77 750F2. After riding around for a bit, I often get the tach and speedo needles jumping around. What's the cause and what can be done?

Is this something that just started happening? Did you disconnect them at anytime and perhaps the cables are not seated correctly? Did you lube the cables?

Sounds as though the cables are dry. Remember to lube these cables do not use grease. Grease goes dry and hard and makes the cables jumpy. Use a good oil.

Another possibility is that the gauges are dirty and need cleaning and lubing.
There is a resource somewhere that shows how to take the gauges apart. I saw it bofore but dont remember.
I am sure someone else has the source though.
