rear sets are GO!
« on: April 17, 2007, 01:56:34 PM »
Thought since I finished assembly on these at lunch I would show them off a little. If my painter would ever get done I could put them to the test. Also I have a spare set in bare aluminum if anyone want details they would fit pretty easily. I used one of those tube clamps on the top front mount but the other two are thread set in the tube, I didn't want to drill that one. Pedals are from a Yamaha Venture. eh?!

Looks pretty good, what would you be looking to get for the other set?

Actually, if it was confusing, all I have extra are the plate parts that are powder coated black here. All the holes I used are in them and threaded on the peg and pedal holes. I was using them while these were at the powder coater. If still interested or anyone else let me know not really looking to make money on them, just better use than the recycle pile.

Yeah, what Cosmo said.  If he passes on them, I'm definitely interested.  I hate the looks of the stock pegs.

Hmm, seems there are a few people who want some of these. I can make more so that is no problem. The set I have has the EXACT peg and pedal holes as in the pics. If I made more would anyone prefer no holes, just peg holes? The front mounting holes line up so manual drilling to get the pegs parallel would be easy.

Yes Chris! It is a Dennis Kirk clamp on there.

The ones I have are officially gone. but never fear. If anyone else isn't in too much of a hurry and wants a pair I could make some just let me get a count and what is preferred for holes. I could probably do them for around $25 a pair (bare aluminum), I don't really have time to do it full, hell even part time, but I could get some out a few at a time.

Here are pics for your viewing pleasure. Also I had some 1/4" aluminum cutting today so I now have 3 set of these in bare aluminum and peg holes as I have them. I left the mounting for the pedals off since not everyone would use the same pedals. Anyhow if anyone is interested $24 shipped to you if anyone wants. Drop me a pm or email.

Are the brackets spaced out from the frame at all.  I couldn't make it out from the pics or are they flush to the rails/tubes?

The hole at the back is flush on the tube, the bottom hole is spaced 1/2", the hole on the tube clamp is spaced 1" fom the clamp. All on mine are countersunk stainless 1/4-20 bolts. with the spacing here it is pretty square.
