I would just like to post that because of this forum, I've gotten a forgotten k8 up and running strong!  From learning how the carbs work and how to clean them to ignition, brakes, drive train and other tune up items, I am now a proud owner of a working bike!

around 13k miles on her, the front break did lockup on me  :-\ (gummy fluid to start) and it did go down so there are cosmetic blemishes and some ebaying done for a turn signal.  As for the kayak paddles, lets say in the good ol new england usa, we don't have the smartest of people.  Some kayakers went on to a whitewater river that had some good flow on it and one flipped and lost his paddle when i was riding by, so i picked it up further down river and brought it back to him (then gave them a reality check as I am a whitewater paddler and they had no business there with their experience level  ;) )
