Is there a CB400 type header for the CB750?
« on: April 19, 2007, 07:12:03 am »
I just think it looks so cool how the downtubes twist their way to one side and how the flat collector shows slanted through the side of the bike.

With all the responses on making your own silencers I wonder if anybody has given this a try?

The stock header for my 76 750 Super Sport looks like the 400F header.  You could give that a try

You could always take a 400 header and modify it to fit a CB750..
Where their is a well their is a way (just takes $$$)..

The tubes for the 400f, would obviously be smaller that the 750. There is also a 550F but, there again, there is the tube size to deal with. I have to agree that the factory 4 into 1 is a nice looking setup in my opinion (some don't think so). You never know until you ask. ;)

Take a bunch of pictures and your bike to a good exhaust shop and see what they can do.

That I know of, there is no bolt on header set that looks like the 400.

Maybe not an exact likeness but similar to it. The exhaust shop sounds like a good idea but better have your checkbook ready unless they take cash though. ;D Of course, no matter which way you go, you're gonna need some bucks. :-\ Lots of luck on what ever you end up doing. ;)

Maybe I will. I'll modify my 4-2 and see what I come up with.
