The Lucas link is even funnier, in a warped kind of way. The suffering that old Brit car owners must go through....

The Lucas page brought back such fond memories of the Midget I had back in high school...well, now they're fond memories at least!  ;D  Something about wiggling one wire to either have brake lights or dash lights that just can't be replicated on more modern machinery.

Funny, but so true.

The directions in the Haynes manuals make me feel like and idiot sometimes.  It usually happens I destroy something and then discover the trick to getting something off.

My old bronco2, I drove that thing for over 13 years, and had well over 400k on it when I finally got rid of it, but it had some quirk in the wiring, would run perfect, but every now and then it would start to stutter real bad, the lights would flicker, or it wouldn't want to start up. all I ever had to do was pop the hood, pick up the harness  by the heater box and set it back down and it would smooth right out or start up, and everything would be fine, might be a mile down the road or it might be two months later, but it would run perfect till then.

I have no idea how many hours I spent under that hood with voltmeters and test lights trying to find whatever was causing it.
Out of all the bike people I know, only one had a clue when I said it wasn't even lucas
