Hose clamps
« on: May 12, 2007, 08:00:21 PM »
Hey guys,

Those those clamps that look like this.  What the hell are they called?  Self-compensating clamps?  Where can I buy them?

Thanks,
Sparty

My parts book calls it a "clip", part number 90603-300-000 for a large one off the rear engine breather tube for example and 95002-50000 for on off the fuel lines.
Cheers,
Cliff.

Generically, I think it's called a "wire clamp."  See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hose_clamp

Honda still sells them. Just got 6 fuel/1 breather in for my CL450. I went for clear plastic line, though. I like to watch the rust flowing through the fuel lines...   ;D

Here are a couple links:

http://www.pspring.com/hoseclamps.asp
(Check the product listing for a couple options)

And strangely enough a good local RC Model Shop will carry an assortment of the wire clamps because they are used for fuel too...
