Few cafe pics...
« on: May 20, 2007, 12:33:59 PM »
...been working on this bike off/on for the last year or so...the idea I have in my head is off "ole blue" the Ducati racer of the 70's.  I've redone the paint...when I got it, it looked like this...

a 70's throw back...

new paint scheme is this...

http://new.photos.yahoo.com/marklocklear/album/576460762330154230/photo/294928804388076364/15

...added a solo seat and cowl here...

...the seat is an HD Lapera solo seat, the rear most cowl is from a 77/78 supersport, and I fabbed the peice in the middle...

Looks great Mark. Speaking of Ducatis, you wouldn't happen to have some parts from
the 70's ;D ;D

Hey Mark,  Looking good there guy! ;) 8)  How does it run? ??? I think that seat and fairing set it off. 8) You still messing with modifying gas tanks and swingarms? Just curious how things were going for you? Take care. ;)

                                                 Later on, Bill :) ;)

What's wrong with the left sidecover?  It looks crooked, and that is throwing everything off for me.

I'm a big fan of 550's and I'm a big fan of silver bikes.  I think it is an excellent color choice -- quite a drastic improvement.  I think you need to fix the sidecover (it throws off the geometry so much in my eye, it bothers me) and post a bunch more pictures.  Does the seat still have that cool chrome insert?

I think hes refering to the part between the seat and the solo tail...aka your filler panel.

That fairing does it for me.  If you ride east, let me know, Mark.  We'll get together.

I'm liking that fairing too! 8) That and the seat really set it off. ;) I'd like to hear about how it handles with that fairing also. :) Great looking bike there Mark!

...heres one with the lowers installed...its def. a tight ride...the faring has restricters on the turning radius, so its def. more at home on the track than on the street.  Shes going on ebay next week, would love to keep it, but need room for the next project.  Bit of a tight ride for my 6'3" frame anyway...
