         I'm on the prowl trying to find out some detail on this one.   Haven't come up with anything yet though.   I found the photo on the 305 site and have made inquiry about it to their forum. Thinking about going straight to their administrator to see if he has anything. Don't you just hate it when you find a photo and there's no story or, in this case, details on the subject of the photo? I sure do. I found one once, that used a CB500 four motor to power a homebuilt "Riding Mower" with some details and was to be a follow up later. Well, I forgot about it for awhile and when I tried to look it up last fall, I could find no trace of it. I was just interested to see what else he'd done. Ah well, I guess that's life on the net. Maybe I'll luck out and find something on this one, who knows?

         Well, here's what I've found out so far:

                    The bike is mostly a CB72. It was raced as a 250 and sometimes as a 350. The motor has a "doubled" oil pump (I am assuming that it means the oil pump is actually 2 pumps in depth), an external oil filter & cooler. Also has a close ratio 5sp Nova gearbox. The ignition is on the end of the crankshaft and the 350head is made from a CR72, so that the combustion chamber could be reshaped to provide more squish. The bike was wrecked and hasn't been rebuilt yet. The site administrator hopes to get the fellow to join the 305 site and provide more info as well as get involved with the site. Here's another picture of it. That's it for now. I hope that there's more to come.

          Just as soon as I can find out more, I will be posting it. I've got a 63' CB77 Super Hawk that would take more than I could afford, to restore it. Not to mention that some previous owner put a CA77 motor in it sometime back. For those who don't know, the CA motor is a slightly detuned version of the CB motor. The CA has a single carb, a 360 degree crank, single ignition points, single coil w/2 leads, and a milder cam. The CB has 2 carbs, a 180 degree crankshaft, dual ignition point, 2 coils and a better cam w/ a tach drive. I'm gathering parts to convert the CA motor to a CB motor and I also have a deal going, to get me another motor. I'm getting ideas on how I want build my Super Hawk, so I'm looking at anything I can find on that subject.
