Doctor's Orders
« on: May 24, 2007, 06:10:57 AM »
I had an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon yesterday.  My therapy has been going well.  The pain in my bicep and pec has decreased to the point that I don't think about it every day.  My strength is coming along much quicker than expected, but I still need to take it slowly - which is difficult.

However, the reason I am writing is the ortho told me that I can begin riding again at the end of the month!  I am so stoked.  Seven days to go.

Good to hear you're on the mend Art, you'll have to tell Mike to get a move on unless you have another ride. ;)

When I go to the pub Andy, I normally have 5 or 6 pints of bitter, sleep well and wake up after about 8 hours feeling fine.

Last weekend I deceided to stay in, I had plenty of whiskey and 4 bottles of Chimay.

I deceided on the Chimay, the 4 bottles only yeald about 2 1/2 pints so I was expecting to finish the night off with a few whiskies.

4 Bottles later, 12 hours in bed, woke with a banging head.

People be warned, this Chimay is not for the faint hearted ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

My engine is still in the care of the guru.  That is fine with me.  It will give me time to heal and put in a new wiring harness.  The engine that was in my bike was sold weeks ago. I may have to borrow my dad's Harley for a first ride of the season.

I'll bet the weather's good for riding over there now.
We have had nice weather of late, warm enough to do without heating but the odd showery days now and then.
