Slow jet for CB550.
« on: June 27, 2005, 10:10:08 AM »
I'm reassembling my Carbs after rebuilding them with Keyster Carb kits. I replaced the Slow Jet, and am uncertain about how it should be set...

Am I correct in threading it fully into it's position? An acquaintance has told me it's one of the screws that's supposed to be tightened, and then backed off a couple of turns. I can't find documentaion of that anywhere.

What's the correct way to reinstall the new Slow Jet?

Thanks for your help in advance.

The slow jets (inside the bowl, beside the main jets) get screwed in all the way.  You're thinking about the air-screws that you back-off 1-2 turns.
