Topic: Suzuki M50

Anyone on here ridden / own on of these, especially '07?  I'm in the market for a new midsize cruiser and the reviews I've read so far have good things to say about the C50 but there's not near as much info on the M50.  It's the same drivetrain but suspension and ergos are very different.  I'm hoping to take one for a test ride tomorrow but it's always nice to have a base knowledge about a particular before clicking out of neutral.

There was a gal in yesterday for her motorcycle test who has one. She think it's the shiznit. There, I've used that new word again.

Seriously, she has the M50 and her partner has the C50. She wanted the different look and as a novice has found it to be a good fit.

I've heard that it fits well for someone of a somewhat smaller stature.... short if you want to be a d!ck about it   
I'm 5'4" so the lower saddle and reasonable weight (545lbs) is very appealing.  I had an ACE 750 for a few years and liked it but this has a lower center of gravity.  Very helpful when you come to a stoplight with someone on the back. 
The inverted forks are very appealing as well..

Guy I work with has 06.
He's done about 19,000 miles in 9~10 months and is very happy with it, had a couple of oil and filter changes and thats about it.
 Low running cost, only recently fitted  new rear tyre, (will be changing as a pair next time) and the  handling is great for a cruiser (so he tells me)
 He has recently started dragging lower edge of foot boards (there ain't too many curves in Florida so I guess he must be going quite quick,)
 I've ridden the road he takes and its almost 'straight' at 55, probably need to be up in high 80's low 90's to do that ( doesn't have any interest in slow 90 degree turns to scrape things, he's 56)
If your interested I could find out Monday what sort of gas mileage he gets as he rides almost everyday, about 70miles (work and back)

Okay, the M50 and the C50 used to be the Marauder and the Savage, but I can never remember which is which (Suzuki said, "Damn, our bikes aren't selling... I know, Lets change the names!!! Yeah, thats the ticket!"). I always liked the looks of the Savage over the Marauder, but vise versa for the fit.

I have an "05 c50 and it is a great bike.  Ive never had any problems with it, and it is really a comfortable bike.  Im 6"0 and it fits me fine.  Longest trip Ive taken it on is 2 hours and it wasnt to bad on the bum.

I took one out for a test drive this weekend and am sold on the M50, no question.  Great responsiveness without givving up on comfort in the saddle.  Of course the next step is to sell the chopper (fiance says we can use the proceeds for a downpayment) so here's to hoping someone is looking for a project

By the way, I've never riddena a cruiser with fuel injection.  Completely different feel when you can put the throttle anywhere you want it and not have a bit of lag.  Even my 2000 ACE 750 felt reluctant compared to the M50.
