This is the first rear end I have encountered that wasn't as simple as removing the castle and sliding out the axle. Lets see if I can explain this correctly, the solid side (typically a hex head) is round...sort of. You can kind of make out the shape in the diagram. I have oiled, cursed, smacked, jiggled, bounced, oiled again, and still nothing. I am afraid to beat on it too hard because I have a bad habit of breaking/ruining things doing so. I disconnected the brake arm and I can spin the backing plate back and forth, and the axle shows a little bit of movement so I assume its not frozen.
The front axle was threaded into the fork leg, and that was new to me. I guess Honda must have done something squirrelly in the back as well.
