To make a long story short, I amassed a total of 4 350Fs over the last few years including one I had as a kid. The oil filter bolt had me licked until I broke out mr hacksaw: Me: 1, Filter bolt: 0. I ended up with one engine the had compression between 150 and 160 on all cylinders. Mom still had the title to my old bike I had as a kid before I joined the service (17 years ago! Ain't Moms great?). So good engine is swapped into titled frame (on which all lights, signals work). The current issues are these:
1] Oil leak from clutch cover. I knew this one was coming after I dismantled and cleaned up the clutch plates. The old gasket was completely stuck to the case. I didn't get it all off.
2] I set the correct float levels on all the carbs while back. Result? Overflow from all of them. I brought the float level down and still have one that leaks. I may look at the other 2 sets of carbs I have.
3] The most disturbing is this one. The bike starts immediately and runs great at idle and mid throttle. It bogs down at full throttle and definatley does not like having the throttle snapped open quickly to full throttle from idle (is that expecting too much?).
So there I am, a newbie with limited tools. I'll look at my plugs but any help with issue number 3 is appreciated. The mixture screws are all at one turn out. I have the air filter out.
edit: Oh yeah.. Bike thinks it's in neutral all the time. Should be an easy fix though.
