I've seen the cool slide show for how to rebuild and aside from a can of nitrogen, I can do it, except where the heck do you get the seals??  There's a pair on ebay, right now and I really wanna get em, cuz well, I'm a mtn biker, and a pair of red marzocchi shocks would be pretty cool, cuz well, marzocchi makes some cool stuff for mtn bikes, it would be some definate bling, as long as they work!!

just bought a set off ebay last week... but have to wait for them to get hee from europe... so when they get here will fill you in on how they feel...peace

I've got a pair of Marzocchi Strada's (the red ones) hanging up in my garage, they're not nitrogen filled, just good ol' compressed air. I bought a pair new in the early 1980's for my Kawasaki Z900, and both seals leaked like a bastard. Still heaps better than the stockers (not surprisingly) and they look about as cool as a pair of shocks can.

There's a dude (in Japan, ironically) selling seal kits on ebay for around 30 bucks, and the Marzocchi's are easy to work on without special tools. If they're going at a good price, buy them mate, and buy a seal kit, you'll most probably need it! Cheers, Terry.

terry just got my marzocchi's(?) today... and there arnt any markings on them to say that they are  what i have been told they are, is there anything i should look for, these have a big nut on top of the damper, that the rod goes through, so you can rebuild them i am guessing, and the bodies are made of alloy... are in really good nic...here is the link to the auction...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4556337094&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT.. just got them today and thought that they would have some sort of markings.... any help would be good...cheers

That's it, I'm giving up drinking! Ha ha, sorry about that y'all, obviously I failed chemistry. Anyway, the red one's with the piggy back reservoirs are "Stradas", there was a more expensive black and silver model with nitrogen filled reservoirs, and Ben's were the economy models, which were just spring/oil, with just spring pre-load adjustment. Still very good shocks and heaps better than the OEM's, and yes, certainly rebuildable.

Ben, if you jump on your bike and ride over to Ikon, I'm pretty sure the top "eye" for Ikons will also fit your marzocchi's too. As I mentioned (well kinda) in my previous post, the stradas are air/oil, and have little "bladders" inside them to seperate the oil from the air to stop the oil from "foaming", don't use a gas station air hose to fill 'em, as the capacity is just a few ounces, and you'll blow the bladders to pieces and cry yourself to sleep for being a dickhead! My Marzocchi's look like these Cben750, I'm not sure what model they are the retaing ring for the spring has Marzocchi cast on it. I think those must be an older type I can give you the email of a guy at Marzocchi who knows all about these old bike shocks if you need it, he was very helpful with me!

   terry,... na got the upper bushes... they were sent with the shocks.... am a  little worried now... it seems i may have been taken for a ride....will give this guy a call thats to supersport_cb400f.. and see how i fair... thanks all


 here are some pics of the shock... they look like they have been painted up... but would like to put a seal kit in them then i know they are right.... anyone know where i can get a kit frrom...

Hiya, yep they're definitely Marzocchis, I have an identical pair on my 400f. If you do manage to find a seal kit, be careful with undoing the big nut/cap that the seals are seated in, it's made of extremely soft aluminium, makes the honda wheel bearing retainers seems like steel in comparison.
