Turtle Wax Chrome Polish & Rust Remover?
« on: July 06, 2005, 08:30:35 PM »

Has anyone had good luck with this product?

I'm trying to remove rust and discoloration on all the unpainted metal surfaces of the bike (wheels, fenders, engine/transmission, shocks, etc.)...

I'm sure it work's good on the chrome, fenders and shocks. I would use a Aluminum cleaner/polisher on the rims, engine and tranny front fork's. Mother's has worked great for me.

Thanks Paul...just wasn't sure about which one of their products you were using.

I had a very small amount of the Mothers mag & aluminum cleaner on hand, and it seems to work quite well, but whenever I got into rougher sections with lots of rust, the terry cotton towels I was using just started shedding like crazy!

WD-40 and "00" steel wool works great at removing light rust on chrome parts.
