dohc engine?'78F frame
« on: August 06, 2007, 11:13:22 AM »

A friend just sent me this CL posting. The pics aren't that good but it looks like a dohc engine to me. If it is I had no idea one would fit in a sohc frame. Some mod work perhaps?

Whoa, how about that.  I think I'll take a close look at my bikes tonight.  I do know that the exhaust ports are the same orientation/distance/etc because I had temporarily transplanted my 79 exhaust to my 78.  The DOHC engine is taller though, I think.  It looks like the tank barely clears it.
