Mounting a fiberglass 'cafe' seat..

Copy/paste from 'Dotheton.com', figure you guys might have some helpful info as well!

What did you guys use? I have the brackets all made up, but thinking I should mount it on some rubber isolators...but am having a hell of a time trying to find something suitable. I was then thinking about stacking some washers and then using a fender washer on the top of the stack, and another on the other side of the seat. I'm trying to prevent it from cracking. You guys have any tips?

I used strips of a truckers rubber bungee strap to isolate my gauges and mount them.
also, look at the mounting straps sold at auto parts stores for exhause systems they are usually thick strips of tire rubber cut into strips and drilled at intervals.
