ok i'm finally there ... after two years of lack of funds and just general "banging head on workbench" i finally got to take my KZ for a ride around the neighborhood .. just side streets (no plates) so i didn't even get to 4th let alone 5th gear .. but the verdict is
...it's not the fastest,but it is definitely fast or the most nimble (needs some tuning in the steering and front suspension) , but it has a great cool factor and the riding position is perfect for tooling around or tuckin' in .. think i'm gonna really like this one ...... and i was so incredibly close to giving up and selling it
updates :
figuring the carbs was a nightmare , haven't done any plug chops yet , but it seems be running strong
140 main jets , pilot jets back to stock , idle screws 2 1/2 turns out , needle at 2nd notch from the bottom ..
the front end seemed pretty squirrely , but i can't remember if i ever changed or even checked the fork oil , so that just got added to the list
but other than that , IT"S $%#@! DONE MAN ... ok i gotta go pump out some of this adrenaline
