I once wrote on my wall with a pencil, "Why me?"
A few days lare, I looked over there and there was written, "Why not?"
Never figured out how that got there.

I was in so much pain, I saw my cat jump under the bed- while I was in the hospital.  Yeah, it hurts.  Can't sleep.  Going crazy.  Time has stood still and this is going on too long.

You'll get through it.  You just have to know that.
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!

A recent revelation in the news - need I say more..

  "A bonfire which locals believe resembles the silhouette of late Pope John Paul II making a blessing, in a picture taken by amateur photographer Grzegorz Lukasik, atop Matyska mountain in southern Poland, on April 2, 2007, during a vigil marking the second anniversary of the Polish pope's death. Data on Lukasik's digital camera says the picture was taken at 21.37:30, exactly the hour when the pope died."   :o :o :o :o                                      ::)

Well, Finally some good news. I got the Cast off on Friday and it looks like the incisions are healing much better than the first surgery. Only a very small bit of seepage, otherwise nice and clean. The antibiotics have done their work and the infection seems to be on the way out. Feels good to be able to take the boot off once in a while. I wear it most of the time but have to relax the ankle from time to time.

Talk to ya'll later,

Jeff

Got to thiking about this.  It's sort of like a restoration of a very rare bike;
Very difficult.  Very frustrating.  Makes you mad as hell.  Truthfully, often times it's never completely finished or done the way you would have liked...
But, when it (you) are up and running (OK- hobbling), you can begin to realise that you're a part of a very exclusive group of true survivors.  No one but people who have been through similar things can even imagine.  It's not flashy, but you can take pride in your accomplishment.  Yeah- it's not just drugs.  I truely believe a lot of it is in your head and attitude.  You'll know that you're one tough SOB.  It's a medal you keep in your sock drawer, but you'll always know it's there.

Re God, allow me to quote one of my favorite gospel songs;
He may not come when you want Him,
but He's always right on time.

Finally got the pic to show ya'll my latest ride, lolol. This is what I'll be scooting around in for the next few months. Hopefully in January I'll be able to start walking again but it will be this I'll be in for the most part.

4 wheels is better then the couch.  ;)

When my dad was laid up in a wheel chair for 6 months, he taught himself how to do wheelies.  I doubt it can be done in a scooter, but you may be surprised as to what you come up with to fill your time.

Keep the faith!

Quite a story.  In spite of all that, you're on your way to better times.  Sure wish I had time to stop out to see you when I'm out that way in a couple weeks, but I won't have enough free time to get out of San Fran.

well hell, you gotta eat, right? I could swing by with a friend, have a quick dinner or something, it would be great to see you again. That way you wouldn't have to leave SF, just have a dinner, lol.

Peace
