Well it was a bike...
« on: October 22, 2007, 09:33:34 AM »
There is a snowmobile guy here in town, has a quick sled.. 8 sec 1/4's on pavement.

One day I go to his shop and he has a Kawi dragbike there 1400cc reversed head and a blower I think it had.  didnt ask why it was there..

Well last year I found out he detuned it and put it in a sled!!!

Will try to get more info on it, it is called X-Rated and run by CR Racing.. it is pretty quick... and he has come off it at 120mph at a hillclimb.. ...some of the fun stuff they build around here..

Sorry guys, I screwed up..it is called Rated R and owned by Chad Rebec...CR Racing

I am link challenged but if you search Rated R  and Chad Rebec, there are loads of articles..

The good part... they DETUNED it.. so now it only makes 750 HP...!!

800~1000 Hp. That would be more than double the power output of the most powerful aircooled Kawasaki ever built.
Where does he get his numbers from?

oh that, They were filming it for a Extreme video I think.

I dont think it is really trailrideable.. sorta like running a  rail on a gravel road.. just not made for it, bet its very hard on nitr as well

Because it is running on nitro, it said they had to pack a generator ,blankets etc to get everything warm enough to run where they were filming. They had to find a long enough hill to allow for its speed, he has come off it at 120 mph. At his shop he had a pic on his computer of one of his other sleds about 30 ft in the air at the top of a hillclimb.. one that most machines donot get up or barely make it.. His 2 stroke wouuld do 8 sec 1/3s on pavement..

Cool.. The guy with the Kawi built a few tripples, big Twins with another cylinder welded on, welds them up himself. I like going in there once in a while to see the trick parts..like the adjustable dome heads, neat stuff.

Where these sleds run when they are filming there is huge powder. I think if they break down, it would be hard to pull one out. I worked in that area have sen 3ft overnight...
