nice, being useless with all things invented after 1973, I am no good at doing the internet thing and I didn't realise there was a British version of the forum.  I will go there henceforth.

It's not so much a British version as a parallel universe...

There was always a forum on www.honda-sohc.co.uk run by John Burrin (JonnyHonda on here). He had a lot of trouble with hackers and almost threw in the towel at one stage due to the large bandwidth bills run up by them. He switched to SMF forum software as a result and now both sites look the same! (Not sure whether that's good or not, but at least it saves having to remember two lots of instructions.)

Use the same name in both places so we'll all recognise you.

thanks for that, i tried but the activation email never arrived in my inbox.  i will try my other email because it could be that which isn't working proper;ly. :)
