Need help with some pics.
« on: November 07, 2007, 08:03:57 pm »
A buddy and I are putting a few pics together for here.  Like 2 of our choppers, the 1080 on the track, my high pipe, slammed and stretched bike, even a pic of my 750 P.. all bike pics. also my hexed, shaved valvecover motor.

They are all scanned photos, so I think they will be a bit grainy..

So we need an email address of someone who can hopefully post some of the pics. We need to know how you like them sent, either by file or X amount of pics in an email etc.

I can give you my email if you prefer but I will not send the pics, the other guy will.

Thanks,

The bike with the Webers is mine, used to be in the red chopper, then back in my green 73. Red bike pic was in 82 I think.

The black one with boards is the Montreal Cop Slug that I rode to Sturgis (Note Speedo no tach!), pic is at the Spokane Drags the day Garlits flipped backwards at 2/3rds track.

The dark chopper is Leo's  shown both with the 836cc and 1080cc motor, he also has a 78 K that he bought brand new

Wow!! Im really diggin that 1080. Those are some nice bike you and your people have had.
What kind of exhaust is that in the top pict? Looks pretty cool.
When the majority of the United States population get to be 70 years old, they will finally realize what is really important. And by then it'll be too late.

The high pipe started with a header from Magnum turbos, First one was for a K and did not fit so I sent it back, abd got an F type so I used it. Then A muffler shop welded on a flange, and built the tail pipe with matching flange. later on I cut that and rolled the megaphone which takes a Hooker baffle. This was all for the Amen Saviour frame. Later  on I sold the Red bike with pipes but less engine.

Eventually he decided to change pipes and sold them back to me. I jumped at the chance and put them on the green 73 with the stretched swingarm. Now that  I had lots of ground clearance I sawed off the kickstand mount and shortened the struts, so its sits at 1 inch under on the fork, but the frame below the motor is still going uphill.. it can be lowered to 3 or 4 under on the front end for the track, but too low for the street. It is really quite low you can easily push it with one hand on the middle of the bars, and the seat is about 6 inches lower than a stock bike.

The cop bike pic I told about in a previous post. I called it the slug because I bought it to go to Sturgis and it sort of ran OK, so I figured itwould be better with a tune-up. Well it made no difference.. At times I had trouble keeping it at 70 mph in a headwind and could not keep up with others on that trip, also had 5 flats in 10 days on that thing!! It was hard to sell for 400 back then.. now I wished I sold it for 300 or less and kept the speedo..
