headlight shell

I would like to change my black headlight shell for a chrome one.Which honda models have a chrome shell?

Where did you guys bought yours?

Chrome headlight shells are available from David Silver Spares and were an option on the CB750s. I have one on my CB750k2 and love it!

Look for GL1000 headlight buckets - chrome steel. Frequently found on eBay for $20 or less. Part # is HM-27M-S (not a Honda part # this model number is also found on brands other than Honda - must have been a supplier to multiple companies or sumpthin)  ;D

Honda part # for 1975 & 1976 GL1000 bucket is 61301-371-003. Its also listed at $95 on hondaparts-direct.com, new.   :o

They are a really kewl replacement for that stock black plastic silliness and you can still use your present stock bulb and holder ring thingies.

David Silver Spares sells the stock headlight bucket in chrome plastic but for much cheaper than the GL1000 one!!!  :o

I order it at David Silver Spares,but i hope the shipping cost will not be more expensive
than the shell itself! :-\
