My reign as Dyno Champ!!
« on: November 08, 2007, 07:46:17 AM »
One time at a vintage event a fellow I knew had a dyno setup. I rode by on my Cimatti moped and asked if he could test it. He said sure we'll do it for free.

We hauled up the mighty CIMATTI on the platform and it was 2 short!! So we put a case of oil where the front wheel should go and it was just right! So I line up the mighty moped and let her fly. The hp climbed..up.and uP and UP!! ..................Until it hit max ..1.75..BHP !!!!!!!

He then laughed turned it off and walked away..the drum was spinning ferociously, and would not stop as he did not brake it!! I stood there holding the back end up for about 2 or 3 minutes till the drum slowed... BASTARD &*%^^%^!!!

So I was the champ for a while...

Then the dreaded phone call came...

No, I did not get toppled!! I got beat!!.. by a Harley hi-torque starter...spinning over an engine with the plugs out!!

All records will ultimately fall. Bask in your being the champ for however long it lasted.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?
