78 forks and 73 forks?
« on: November 17, 2007, 03:01:38 PM »
I have a 73 cb750k and have 78 cb750k forks.  My 73's have rust on the top portion of the tubes.  Will the tubes of the 78 fit into my 73's?  I want ti use the 78's but I dont think the brake assembly will bolt up.  I look on ebay for 78 brakes but just bought a house and cant spend the $$$.  Thanks guys!!  Oh and is there a way to lower the front end easily???  Thanks!!

If you have rust on the top of the tubes sounds like you have 72 style(maybe early 73). In that case internals are different. On the 73,s you have.. how many bolts hold the brake hanger on?? If more than three you are SOL..
