nope.

The 77-78 gas tank shape was alike for the CB550 F models and the 77-78K models.  If you wish to use the stock seat, those are your options.  There are some minor petcock differences among these (two outlet vs single outlet).  Though, they all fit the tanks in the same way.
The CB500-550 K tank shape prior to 77 were alike, and shorter than the later models mentioned above.  But, there are petcock fitment differences, 74 and prior.

These statements apply to US model bikes.

Actually I am using a solo seat but like the look of that first tank.  I did notice the difference in the petcocks but didnt think it would make much difference.  I have a 78 cb 550 and was wondering if that first tank would fit my bike and how it may look.  If anyone has any pics of that tank on a bobber style bike I would love to see them.

The tank on the 1st picture is the same tank that is on my 1975 CB550 K.  You wanna see pics?  Good.  I have lots of pics
