Part number needed--exhaust bolt
« on: July 28, 2005, 06:45:55 AM »
Hey all,

I need a new set of bolts for my exhaust system. The exhaust system I just got has flanges that bolt into the engine block (my last exhaust slid in and had flanges that bolted together to create a tension fit).

I looked over the parts list for the 750K3 (my model) and it seems that the stock flange bolted together, rather than having two holes indicating that it bolts directly into the engine block.

What model 750, if any, had flanges that bolted directly into the engine block? Anyone have a part number for those bolts?

thanks in adnvace.

Look in the FAQ section and you will find a link to a parts manual which should help you.

It sounds like you are referring to #31, "SCREW, flat 8x22" P/N 93600-08022?

Hope this helps.

It sounds like you have an exhaust for a '77-'78. They had studs to accept the flange. My parts manual shows two different sizes...not sure why, possibly either will work. The numbers are...92700-08050-OE, 8x50...and 92900-08032-OE, 8x32.

Mick,

It sounds like you got it. I bought the exhaust some time ago, but if I remember correctly, it came off a later model bike. Off to oder the parts now.
