anyone know where i can find a bolt on damper for a 76 CB750f?
if not what did you use? will the small units from modern superbikes work? how do you know if the unit will have enough travel?

Here's a good post

Partsnmore used to have good adjustable dampners for Kawi H1s H2s that fit our bikes. But they been out of stock for over a year now.
You can also use the OEM ones from sport bikes that are non adjustable and cheaper on ebay.

speedmotoco on ebay has them, 7 way adjustable, new for $70. You then need to buy brackets to mount it.

There's no "bolt on" kits around anymore, mounting the "ram" end of the damper is no problem with most CB750's as there is a threaded hole in the lower triple for that purpose, but mounting options on the frame are more difficult. You either fab up a bracket and weld it to the frame (best option) or use a horribly ugly exhaust clamp to clamp a bracket to the frame. Cheers, Terry.

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.
So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Nice seaweb. I would think that would do it. $49 isn't bad for the damper either.
