91RON equates to regular 87oct pump gas. NOT 91oct. Use pump 87 and all will be fine.

My cb750 k8 pinged alot. Tried premium gas but no dice. Came to the conclusion that the slowjets got clogged and the lean mixture cause pinging.

CR = 9.2 to 1

"Low-lead gasoline with 91 research octane rating or 86 pump octane or higher"

Isn't "pump" octane something like R + M whereas R is research and M is ??

thanks i was hoping it would be ok with 87 octane, i just got the bike a few weeks ago ,not running yet,waiting on a items from Honda, heard mixing the gas with a little 2cycle oil is good for the exhaust ,slows down the internal rusting of the baffles or something like that,I put mystery oil brand in the fuel in my honda Rebel sometimes,it gives the cylinder walls a little extra lubrication on start up, i guess

Yeah mate, if you've got expensive-to-replace OEM pipes, run a little two stroke oil in your fuel from time to time, and the oil "mist" will coat the inside of your pipes and help protect them from rusting out. I don't know if you have "drain holes" in your pipes like we do with our earlier bikes, but if so, make sure they're unblocked, and that'll help too. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
