Just picked this 1975 CB550 up 2 weeks ago, it was a mess and took too many hours to count for the clean up but it at least looks decent now. I'v'e since taken off the engine guard/highway bars and might take the rack off the back too.

If I can just fix the lean issue it'll be one great bike.

Hi everyone! Just picked this bike up a few days ago for a couple hundred bucks. Its in pretty rough condition but runs good and has a title. I'm not sure what the fate of this bike will be... bobber project maybe?

angrygreek, the only round traditional looking bar ends that i know of are the pricey (brit) halcyon.

+1 on the CRG's 'greek- I have one of these on my bike and I love it; it's a little bit convex and doesn't move or shake at all no matter what speed you're riding, or bumps you hit, etc. It's a lot of dough for a mirror, but well worth it in my opinion. (Just don't over tighten the mounting bolts- the body is aluminum and it can and will crack!)

I've got a '75 CB550F. Doesn't run, missing one sidecover, other shattered into many little pieces at first touch. Sitting in a field on its side for 26 years might do that. Repairing one thing at a time, it's tough.

Say, anyone know who might make repro CB550F (I specify the F, as in Super Sport, the K series don't fit) side panels? I can find a few K ones here and there, but no F.

No pics, as I'm at work.

Here is my 1972 CB500.

It started out as a chopper but when I saw a cafe racer I fell in love with the look. The pictures with the clubman bars are VERY rough look of it. Just used those to get it titled.

Well I figured since I haven't done it yet I should. I own 2 of them. I got a 1974 cb550k that im building a bobber out of and my 1975 cb550f im building a cafe racer out of. Just a nice bike to cruz to work. the 74 I would like to say payed 100 bucks for the damn thing thinks to the lovely fiance. and picked up the 75 for free 2 days ago.

Both bikes have less then 35k so im stoked not alot of miles.

I haven't officially listed my bike so here it is. took me about a year. Still working out the gremlins but, something this old will always have them

. I've changed the bars to the supermoto bars and routed the cables the correct way
