Here is a piece I just whittled out of a piece of 1/2 in plate, to show what my parts look like  (thanks  1080 for posting pics) It fits on the reinforced part of the frame  beside or below the horn.

I told seaweb I would build a  kawi steering damper bracket. This one will go on mine , I will probably have to make them 2 pces  (2 allen heads, no hinge) or the cost will get stupid.

Just wanted a bit of input on these, I am starting to think that the hole to mount the damper should maybe be further out?? although the Kawis stock mount was pretty close to the frame.

I couldnt move the forks side to side when I tried (too much junk nearby), it looked like pretty close to the horn and adjuster knob was coming pretty near the head. was trying to use the hole in the triple tree

Cant give a price yet. I will make it 2 clamp  bolts to get the price lower.

I need to know though should the hole to mount damper be further out from the frame like 1 1/4 or so?/ or I coud putt a block over the hole tapped to fit damper and tapped at 90 degrees to that, to accept a bolt from the bottom that holds the block to the bracket..
