Well, I finally got the wheels on and started measuring for SS brake lines and also got my Dyna Ignition all together.  Need to get some oil and filter and fire it up soon to see if I screwed up anything timing wise.

sgt did you buy those bolts as a kit or did you buy them separately?  And if you do not mind asking how much did they all cost?  i checked out the site but couldnt really find what I was looking for.

Well I got my Hondaman Resistor Pack installed along with most of the wiring.

Still in need of some aftermarket gauges which I have some idea of where to get.  I'm still waiting on my new shocks, rectifier, regulator and I'm still looking for rebuild kits for the 85' ZX550 Brakes I'm using just to be safe.  Almost ready for the first ignition test since rebuild  8)

Well I finally got her cranked today, after several hicups prior (leaking carbs, #4 carb not getting fuel, bad starter, etc) I got her cranked but still have one problem I'm not sure about.  #1 is not firing but 2, 3, & 4 are,   :-\  It's getting fuel and occasionally blowing it back out on the carb intake side  ???  I'm hoping it's not the valve, because it acts like it can't get the mixture into the cylinder.  I know the spark is good and carbs are good, not sure what else, just don't want to tear into the engine again  :'(

dyou get to the carb problem yet? also, wondering if you're keeping those wheels on, or going back to a spoked wheel.

I got the blow-back eliminated but the #1 cylinder rocker arm, intake side mostly, is hitting the tappet cover.  I know I did the tappet adjustment correctly.  :-\

Nice wpn.  Wish I could get mine to start.

I did get my bolt kit in though and it looks freaking amazing.  I found a company on ebay that had a polished stainless kit for my bike for $25, so I ordered it and it came in yesterday.  Got them all put on and love it.  I will post some pics in a few days.

Well I got the tapping noise eliminated (was one tooth off on CAM timing) and I had to fix the #1 spark plug hole with a new helicoil, she runs much better now but still in need of tuning and a sync.  On hold for some cash to buy a 4-1 exhaust and cafe seat.

Hey guy, good to see you're making progress on your build. Did you say previously what 4 into 1 system that you're saving for? Didn't know if you mentioned it before and I had missed it or what. :D Good to see another bike coming together, hope to get started on one myself soon. Things are kind up and down for me and hopefully will start to smooth out soon. ;)

                                Take care, Bill ;)

nice work so far, I wouldn't have paired the tail end to go with the 550 but it doesn't look bad at all ;)

Been away to Guam for 4 months and back on this project!

Got front brakes, bar-end mirrors and a brand new Sealed Type battery from WestCo on the way.  Started stripping the tank to fill in some dents today and will soon get a seat  :D
