SOHC club - San Francisco
« on: February 07, 2008, 03:39:10 PM »
Hi folks,

Is there an SOHC club in San Francisco?  If so, when/where do we meet?  Zeitgeist for Happy Hour?

Thanks,
James

If not one specific to sohc4's, there has to be at least a few devoted to classic bikes in general.  If you can't find one that suits you, start your own.  Craigslist is a great resource for things like that.

Gordon,
You may be right.

Well, folks, if you are out there in SF or locally short of SF, let me know.  We can start a community-based Honda CB gathering in the city for all CB's (and then some).

Cheers,
James

I've heard of a shop South of Market that specializes in them.  Can't remember the name now, though...

A lot of them used to show up at Farley's coffee house on Potrero Hill

Can't believe they have a website now.  I have my hood ornament collection in the front window for a long time.

Hand out flyers at Alices a couple of weekends?  (Shame you'd have to travel all that way, though...)
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!

VJMC(VintageJapaneseMotorcycleClub) has a website and is a local group that has non-brand specific meets of '76-under bikes. Charlies Place is the shop that Uncle Ernie can't remember ;)

As far as Honda CB related clubs/meets go, they are either not big enough or publicized enough to have caught my attention here in Oakland. I've ridden with a number of local members from this site and it is possible to get 4-6 of us together with enough prompting and co-ordination when riding season is best.

There are a crapload of riding groups in the Bay Area and it is not hard to get on the road with fellow bikers. Start up a Honda club, jjoves, and I'll be glad to ride once the backroads dry up.
Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame
