Would you buy something off this site?
« on: February 13, 2008, 07:31:44 AM »
I googled "CB550 pistons" and came across this listing for a cb550 big-bore kit for $350.
I emailed the seller, but wanted to get your guys thoughts.
Btw, where the hell is Sarnia?

Those kits were going for $160US on ebay a while back and there is a fair bit of machining to do so that will cost as well

I saw that kit, but it was made for the 71-73 CB500 which raises the cc's to 550.
Although it is a sweet kit, it's not exactly what I'm looking for.
I'll keep an eye on it nonetheless.

I got a pair of CB 750 Lester mags off that site.. someone on here put a link to it.

80.00 .. for a 19 and a 16.. seller said front had a crack but he ran a tube.. and rear was described as a 15 but it must be a 16 I am thinking. So I got him to deliver to a guy I know in that town and I will get them next time he comes out here..

great deal IMO..

Do you feel comfortable riding a bike with wheels that have a crack in them?

I would have to see the crack, then decide.. but mainly I wanted the rear wheel.
Lesters ar not my favorite wheel, but I wanted to be able to switch to a 16 inch for longer rides (rigid rear).. and this one fits the bill.

Lesters are a welded wheel, I wont comment further without seeing it
