CB750 K2 - Drain Oil???
« on: August 04, 2005, 04:38:43 PM »
Hi:

Planning to pull the oil pan on my K2 to clean the filter screen and remove sludge (15000 miles) in pan. If i pull the bolts and the pan, do I have to drain the oil tank?? I will pull/drain the oil filter/housing but not sure if the oil in the tank willl drain out if the pan is pulled. Is there a lot of oil in the pan???

Regards

How much oil is in the lower engine case, or in the oil tank, depends on how good the check valve is. After all these years, don't count on it. Why not just drain all the oil, including the tank? There is a separate drain bolt for on the lower side near the oil lines.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.
