Topic: cl450 seat interchange help

I recently got ahold of a '72 cl450. Its in dire need of a new seat or recover. I notice that there are more available cl350 seats on ebay than cl450. Does anyone know if the cl350 seat will work. does it fit decent?

        As far as I know the 350 seats won't fit the 450s and vice versa.
of course, with some modification, there are items that will fit, that normally wouldn't. Now, the CB & CL seats will swap out, as long as you stay within the basic models (like CB & CL 450) but you have to watch out for particular years. The early 450s (don't remember exact years right off) were hinged at the rear and won't work with the later models like yours.

ah ok thanks bill. I noticed that the styling was different but wasnt sure if the mount points etc. were compatible. I will have to look into that seat cover that is on there now.
