I got my lucas two wire taillight from the brown truck today. I take off the old light and behold there are 3 wires WTF. So I do I wire this thing? I have a red and a black wire coming from the light. And a green, green yellow and brown coming from the bike.

sounds like the new light only has the tail light and not brake light as well. green from the bike goes to black on the new light, brown, the taillight lead goes to red.

The Lucas (emgo) lights don’t come with a ground wire. I could never get both lights to work without a ground wire so I had to attach one. Run a wire from the light bulb holder to your green ground wire on bike.

I assume they think the metal light bracket will ground on the fender but they also give you a rubber isolation piece that fits between the fender and tail light unit...

Maybe somebody knows what I don’t but this is how I got mine to work.

I try the wire to the bulb holder, I can solder pretty well.

they assume you`re going to mount direct to metal.
