My latest in home build idea.
My wife works down at the boat yard on-Island and one day last fall came across an old wooden canoe. She made some enquiries and found she could have it for $50.00
Our Idea was to cut it in 1/2 and make a set of shelves. Called my favorite carpenter, asked him to fit in some shelves and clean up the bow area as they were completely rotted out. "JUST TO BE CLEAR" This boat was never going to float again!
He did a great job, charged me $50.00 and today I did a final sand and stained one end..........one end of the boat
I think the 1st one has turned out great. Just got to love to see an idea come through to the end and be happy.
P.S. It is birch and was made by "Master Craft" My guess is mid 50s-early 60s
