Well, they said it was going to SNOW and have up to 3" - 5" accumulation and we thought, "Yeah Right!" I mean it had been in the 60s' and almost 70 degrees the last few days!

Then, yesterday (and the night before) we got 4 - 5" of rainfall, then the temp started dropping and around midnight, it started. All I can say is, "Come On Spring!"

Here in WI we are up to 79 inches so far this winter. Last year we had a total of 16 inches. So much for global warming. Heck, it will be June before these piles of snow are gone...

It would have been pretty around Christmas, but NOOOO!!!!

This snow job was my wife's fault! When it was forecast, she pops up and says, "I DON'T believe that!" It's been to warm!

Here its going to get 2" or so but south of us rain, snow, freezing rain and maybe ice pellets,but whats that quick Igor to the parapets, there is something, there above us, its, bring the paregoric Igor to the parapets I say, its bright, it hurts my eyes, it, it, must be the Sun, all the forgoing BS is implying that spring maybe coming to the great white north providing I haven't pissed the snow god off again, if I have then I'll have to sacrifice a virgin and we all know hard they are to find these days. Now you know what winter can do to you, cabin fever brings madness. But I've talked to my neighbor who runs an excavating company and he says we could dig any time, the ground isn't that frozen. So if the snow god isn't annoyed any more I can start on my new house, I have to talk to the foundation people and see when they are ready to go so if you hear chanting coming from the north of you or muttering is just me trying to negotiate an early spring.

was telling hoodely in a PM... was up on the roof saturday in sunshine and 75 degree weather. sunday... there was 4 inches on the ground. barely a hint of it still to melt off.

Ya it was in the 70's here in springfield saturday and sunday and we got 8" of snow last night! At least we had nice weather this weekend so I could get my engine painted.

We are going to have some major flooding in WI when it gets warm. Sell the bike and buy an ark!!!

Global Warming. Bahh humbug. The ice is reforming up at the caps this year. Some decent Scientists speculate that the Earth is way late for our usual ice age. Like 1,000 years or more. Think how much progress we have made in that time.

I know that some of you get your share (and a lot of other folks') of that stuff. And believe me, I feel for ya! Weird thing about our, this time, was that we had just been having 60's and lower 70's temps, then the rains came (3-5" of it, all day long) and that must have lowered the temp of the ground. Then around midnight last night here comes the snow (admittedly, we only got 1 - 2" in our area) and, by early afternoon, it was gone. Too bad your snow don't go away that quickly. Of course a large amount of snow melting THAT quickly, would made for a heck of a fllood! I'd like to repeat, "Come On Spring".

All I know is this "snow removal gig" is getting really old!

I'm getting twitchy. We are headed for some single digit temps again in the next few days. I'm beginning to think this might we one of those years without a summer.

Freezing rain 2 days ago in Luck, Wisconsin and an inch of powder this morning to top it off.

Talk about slick roads, this is ridiculous! Even worse is the fact that the snow is so deep in the fields I can't get back to the woods to cut firewood to keep my house and shop warm. In a couple of days I'll be facing the prospect of buying wood for $100/cord and a cord only lasts me 5 days or so.

I keep praying for a melt off but it isn't happening. Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?

Quite a bit of snow here last night.
i left work at 1:30 am.the drive home was pretty bad.i slid sideways and through 2 red lights.good thing nobody else was out there at that time as i would have had an accident for sure.

Well, after whining about the winter in my earlier post, the local paper just arrived and it seems we are already at our second snowiest winter on record, almost 80 inches, and, as they almost gleefully pointed out, it isn't over yet. $:-\$ I'll second the thoughts about spring.. where are you?
