750F Headlight Stays(Ears)?
« on: March 10, 2008, 01:42:05 PM »
Hi Group:

Wondering if anyone knows if the headlight stays, ears, whatever
from a 77/78 750F are the same or different from a 77/78 750K.
I've looked on various parts fiche sites, and the part numbers are
different but look the same.
Need to change mine as the PO installed what looks like 76 or earlier
with the turn signals up next to the headlight instead of below.
Also the Headlight bucket is chrome and I think smaller.

Thanks

I can't answer your question but I also have some questions about the same parts on my 550K1.  One of the ears is bent causing my headlight to shine off-center.  I have been looking at replacements and possibly a universal solution.  Anyone have any reccomendations or info to enlighten me?

Mikes XS has some great universal solutions

Go all the way to the bottom of the page.  I've heard nothing but good things about the products at Mikes XS.

The F-K ears are shaped differently.  The F headlight bucket is black painted plastic.

Thanks upperlake:

I thought the K's were a little lower, but couldn't find a
side by side Pic.  Good Job.
