I say he's a lucky man.  The other 300 times he did that on a bike he was in traffic.

As Rev W. Spooner would say "cunning stunt"

Have you noticed those crash bars? The bike in the background have them too. Seem like a stunt school or something.

Hmmmm....maybe a stunt group. I doubt that a stunt school...as in business...would allow naked stunting. Great pic though.

Wonder if that started out as a wheelie and turned into a stoppie when the fork broke?  :o

Maybe he's the instructor, and just told the others "Do as I say, not as I do."

After a little bit of poking around, apparently this is where the pic originated from:

shows some more pics of the aftermath.

that thread is hilarious.  it went on for a couple pages- before i quit reading it- about how kawasaki is at fault for knowing about this defect and doing nothing about it, and other owners of same bike exclaiming- "wow, i had no idea my bike wasn't designed for this, now i am worried!"  its not daring if you are unaware of reality.

I was there when he recked and he told me there were just rebuilt two days before they snapt in half !!!!!! new fork oil new seals etc !!!! then two days later they #$%*ing snap it half !!! sounds kind fishy to me !!!! I know there is not much to it, but you are suposed to tighten all those front end bolts with a torque wrench !!!!! that ways you get the exact proper amount of torque on the front end , I dont know if they just tighten it up too tight or what but i think someone FU*ked up for sure on rebuilding them , plus 1 day after getting them back there were leaking fork oil from the bottom !!! not the top where most people brake fork seals but from the sealed bottom side !!!!!!

Amazing how many ways exclamation points can be used as punctuation...

I'd call him a wanker. But that wouldn't be a caring thing to say about a fallen rider.

He may be a fallen rider, but he's the kind of rider that puts others (including me) in wanton danger when he's on the road showing off his "skillz".

Hard to have compassion for someone who makes it a point to push the limits only to complain when he breaks them.

I think we may be putting too much of this on 'the fallen'  anyway.  chances are he knows better- now.  it's the folks on the forum who post about it as if a lightning bolt had decended upon him not once but twice.  the ones that have learned the hard way are not the ones posting and i think it is possible to hate the squid without disrespecting the fallen.  much like you can hate the war and support the troops.  just wish they knew better before losing basic mobility and creating a bad image for the rest of us.

my only stunts are  #$%*-on-the-phone avoidance maneuvers at high speed, I'm having a blast, and my forks are holding up just fine.
