:)  I like my bike "stock modified". I have no plans to
change the seat or the paint. I'm just interested in having
mostly stock bike with a little growl and bite to it.

Thanks to everyone here that has been responding to my
posts and threads, she is starting to look and sound like a
sexy little minx!!  Thanks again.

Looking for some clubmans, anyone have any?

All these guys getting bikes for next to nothing  :(
or actually nothing is bumming me out because I
paid 1,400 for mine. I mean I am happy for u guys,
it's just I never seem to stumble on those kinda deals.

Anyway, this forum has been great and I'm able to get
a lot of work done to my 650 thanks to a great bunch
of fellow enthusiasts. Next up.... The MAC 4-1 exhaust.

Will I need to re-jet for that exhaust? If I wanted to add
pods in the near future, would I need to make chnges
or is it a better idea to add the exhaust and pods at the
same time and just re-jet at the same time?

What are the jet recommendations for :
(zero altitude)

exhaust only : _________
exhaust and pods :________

So hey.. check this out.. I replaced my stock handlebars with those flanders I got.
What a pain it was. Most of all.. I had to drill a hole on each side because the light
switch box and the start box both have a dimple that needs a hoe in order to clamp
it down. Probably so it wont move around.. but what a PITA that was.

but the other thing, I need someones advice on..  The cables, wires and brake hose
are to long.. and with the shorter rise I have on the bars, all this slack that leads to
a lot of snaking. I think I will need to either re-route all these cables/hoses, or replace
with shorter ones.

anyone ever run into this problem.. what was your solution. ??

There was a drilled hole in the stock handlebars as well.
The hole was not for wires, but a divet for placement of
the controls so they won't slip.

How long is the stock clutch cable? I'll need to get one a
tad shorter. This cable is the one that has been affected
the most. The brake line is too long now as well, so perhaps
it's time to upgrade that to a braided one.

No, they're DOHCs, not SOHCs, so even if we all had one, they wouldn't be here. ;)

But seriously, aside from the engine, I think some stuff is pretty similar.

That's a damn cool car, are you living in there? :D
Probably you should pop over to the DOHC site, we might be able to help with some stuff but we also might accidentally completely screw up the head job.
There is a DOHC site surely?
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

I know what your talking about with those holes..I did the samething. I have "European" bars on my bike now, want to go with clubman but think the master cylinder won't fut right. As for the cable, not to sure of length of hand, mine are def to long now..Post a pic of the bike with the bars if you can. Would like to see what your doing? What did you do about master cylinder?

Hey dv8, good to see you here among us!  Sweet lookin' ride!
If you need anything, Soos is probably our best pro as far as carbs and carb mods, Pinhead has you covered for almost anything electrical, Hush means well, and I make smartass comments all the time and have done some fiddling with my alternator/charging stuff.

I believe your bike belonged once to a former member on here (obviously left when he sold it) so you might find some interesting stuff here to help you on your way with your particular ride.

Good luck to you!

I think they are all the same EXCEPT the 2 inner rears being longer.

Well folks, I'm already in here once, with my "Project" 80' CB650C

And now, here I am again, with this one, also an 80' CB650C (sellers photo, I'll get some up soon as I can. Gonna be doing a "renovation" build on it before long too!
Now, remember, only the bike is mine, the guy on the bike is the seller w/ his son.
