Is it just me or is that turbo KZ missing a carb or 4? Are those braided lines going into the head some sort of fuel injection setup?

This is sexy though for sure:

it only has one carburetor on the "suck" side of the turbo.
and those braided lines appear to be additional oil feed from the oil log at the back of the case into the head.

Still dont see the carb on that KZ, all I see is the turbo outlet going straight into the cast manifold connected to the head. Weird.

It's a pretty standard draw through system. You've got an intake manifold connected directly to the turbo charger... which on the fresh air intake is a directly connected HSR24 Mikuni carburetor.

My buddy is a goof and slapped a Mr.Turbo air cleaner on there. Casting marks say RC.

Braided lines are external oiling lines. The KZ is notorious for lack of oil in the heads in HiPo applications. These help keep everything wet. (based on lots of trial and error.)

Fuzz-

Yessir the 1428cc's came from boring it. The block is a cast big block but has the same dimensions as the stocker. We just used bigger steel sleeves.

Without any tuning whatsoever it fired up and ran a 9.72 in the 1/4. After some tuning we've managed to get it down to 9.12. Now comes time to mess with gearing and such.

Not bad for a steel tube freight train eh?

Thanks, HT. Nice looking frame design. I'm gonna have to take a closer look at the Kawi frames. Parts of it almost look like a Featherbed. RR
